In 2009, Cindy Chen founded Saveway Supplies from a closet-turned-office with an old laptop and less than $5,000 in inventory.
Growing up, she worked at her Uncle Chu’s packaging warehouse, where she noticed a gap in the industry. Farmers, florists, and food distributors needed fast, reliable, and affordable packaging solutions. For these businesses, speed is essential to deliver fresh goods.
After gaining experience in agriculture sales, Cindy decided to fill that gap. She combined her knowledge of packaging and a passion for agriculture to launch Saveway Supplies.
It started with a solid business plan and a single twist tie. Today, Saveway Supplies is the go-to resource for practical food and floral packaging solutions.
The business quickly outgrew Cindy’s closet. It now operates out of a dynamic, 23,000-square-foot warehouse in Riverside, California, serving local and wholesale businesses nationwide.
